Going on vacation- no matter what kind it is or how long it lasts for- is a great way to relax and unwind from the stresses of work and the routines of our lives, to discover new places, and to create new memories whether it be a solo vacation or with others. However, once the vacation or holiday is done, more often than not, we have a hard time adjusting back to the routines of everyday life and work, especially as we still have a “hangover” of sorts from our great holiday and wish we were back on holiday again. It honestly doesn’t feel like the start of the Christmas season at all, as I’m accustomed to hearing Christmas music being played in the convenience store or on radio stations. I think I put a little bit too much pressure on myself this week towards the end of the week as compared to the previous weeks due to the fact that there were some work goals I wanted to accomplish that I was really worried about not being able to complete, which caused me a lot of stress last Thursday and Friday. Despite the work stress and some emotional outbursts during the week, this week has been a lot better as compared to recent weeks.
